This is my first triptych in a very long time. I LOVED painting it. It was insprired by the land around Kinsale in County Cork. One of my favourite swimming spots is Sandycove, a small slip way not very far from great green fields. 

I love the abundance of this time of year in this place.

The 3 paintings combine to distil the essences of the natural world at this time of year, in that place. Misty May brings heat into the air, land and water. Malachite is the colour of the water and Harvest is not far off in the fields.
