Latent with oils, it took a turn mid-process - as if the sky opened and the mood lifted. Sort of like an illumination. A settling after a storm earlier in the composition.  I am very much enjoying the application of thick layers of paint. There are still as many layers (upwards of 50 layers of oils) but there has been a shift - a  softening and a layering up all at once.
