This painting could equally have been called ‘Coming in to Land’.

I was trying to capture the sensation of the  immediate ‘knowingness’, of feeling in your bones ‘at home’ in a landscape or place.

Sometime a scene takes our breath away, stopping us in our tracks. It makes me wonder if times moves backwards as well as forwards, as I feel I’ve been here before. These places are known ‘by heart’ – before my body ever arrived.
